# DroneClean

> DroneClean removes a drone's own shadow from video. Tap the shadow once on one frame: DroneClean tracks it while it stays in view, repaints the ground under it with a video AI model and returns the whole video, with its audio, without the shadow. Finding the shadow and the free previews upload only the seconds around it; the whole video is uploaded when you export, or only the part kept with the optional Trim. It runs in the web browser, on phones and computers: nothing to install.

## Use it

- [Editor](https://droneclean.app/remove): import a clip, tap the shadow, free 3-second previews at the standard or maximum quality, export, download (sign-in with a Google account)

## Facts

- Input: MP4 or MOV, up to 60 minutes, 4 GB, 6K and 250 fps; the export uploads the whole video (or only the part kept with Trim), in parts that resume after a dropped connection, and the page can be closed once it is sent
- Output: the whole video in its original format and quality, without the shadow; the original audio is kept; at the clip's own frame rate (up to 120 fps), or re-encoded at a half, a quarter or an eighth of it
- Works with footage from any drone or camera: DJI and other camera drones, FPV with action cameras, cinematic rigs
- Free beta: DroneClean is free while in beta; nothing is sold. New accounts get 1,200 credits (paused on days with too many new accounts), and people who run out ask for more from their profile
- Free: a 3-second watermarked preview of every clip (up to 3 per clip, 20 a day); 1,200 credits once for a new account
- Prices after the beta (EUR and USD, the same figures: euro in the euro area, US dollars elsewhere; taxes included): Standard: 1,200 credits for €9.99 or $9.99; Plus: 3,300 credits for €24.99 or $24.99; Pro: 7,200 credits for €49.99 or $49.99. Credits never expire; a clip that fails gives them back
- Billing: only the seconds where the shadow is removed (the highlighted ranges), in credits: a second of shadow costs 10 credits for a video exported at up to 31.5 fps, 15 up to 63 fps and 20 above that, at the standard quality. The maximum quality, slower and with more detail on some clips, costs 15, 30 and 60 credits a second in the same bands. An export costs at least 10 credits. Tracking the shadow is free
- Payments: none during the free beta; after it, Stripe checkout, sold through Link (Stripe's merchant of record), taxes included; no subscription
- Sign-in: a Google account only; no password, no confirmation email
- Uploaded clips are kept 7 days, results 30 days; uploaded clips may be used to train and test DroneClean's models (people can opt out)
