1. These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Matteo Dante, Italy (“DroneClean”, “we”), for the use of DroneClean: the website and the web app. By creating an account or using DroneClean, you accept them. If you use DroneClean for a business, you accept them on its behalf.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and is part of these terms.
2. What DroneClean does
DroneClean removes the shadow of your own drone from videos you upload. You mark the shadow on one frame; our models follow it through the clip and paint the ground back where it was.
The repainted area is generated by artificial intelligence. It is made to look natural, but it is not a recording of what was really there, and results depend on the footage: some shadows, grounds or movements come out better than others. Check your results before you use them. We improve DroneClean over time and may change how it works.
3. The free beta
- DroneClean is in a free beta. While it lasts nothing is sold and you pay nothing: you use the credits we give you, the welcome credits of a new account and any you ask for from your profile, which we may grant, change or refuse (at most 3 requests in 30 days).
- Credits given during the beta are free. They have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money or moved to another account.
- The beta is provided as it is (see “Liability”): it may change, be limited, for example by pausing the welcome credits on a busy day, or be unavailable at times.
- We may end the beta. We will say so on the site and in the app before it ends, and what happens then to the credits in your balance. The prices shown as the prices after the beta apply only after that, and only to what you choose to buy.
4. Your account
- You must be at least 16 to create an account.
- You sign in with your Google account. Keep it secure and tell us if you think someone else has used your DroneClean account. You are responsible for what happens in it.
- One free welcome allowance per person: do not open accounts to get more.
5. Credits and payments
- After the free beta, you buy credits in packs: 1,200 credits for €9.99 or $9.99; 3,300 credits for €24.99 or $24.99; 7,200 credits for €49.99 or $49.99. Prices are in euro in the euro area and in US dollars elsewhere (you can choose the other currency before you pay), with taxes included, and are shown before you buy.
- You pay with Stripe. Purchases are sold through Link, Stripe's reseller and merchant of record, which sends your receipt; Link's terms also apply to the purchase.
- A video spends credits only for the seconds where the shadow is removed: the ranges highlighted on its timeline, never the whole clip. A second of shadow costs 10 credits for a video exported at up to 31.5 fps, 15 up to 63 fps and 20 above that, at the standard quality, because a faster video has more frames to clean: an export keeps your clip's own frame rate, or a half, a quarter or an eighth of it, from 23 up to 120 fps, and cleans every frame it keeps. The maximum quality, slower and with more detail on some clips, costs 15, 30 and 60 credits a second in the same bands. Each export costs at least 10 credits. Clips above 250 frames per second are not accepted.
- The credits a clip needs are reserved when it starts and taken when it succeeds. If a clip fails or you stop it, the credits come back.
- Credits do not expire. They cannot be exchanged for money or moved to another account.
- We may give codes worth some free credits. A code works once per account, may be limited in uses or time, and cannot be exchanged for money; its credits then work like any other.
- Some creators share a code or a link of their own. A creator's code gives extra credits once, to an account that has not bought credits yet, and an account can join one creator only. The creator earns a commission when that account buys credits; the price stays the same.
- Free extras: following the shadow through a clip is free (up to 12 times per clip and 60 a day), every clip can be previewed for free (3 seconds, watermarked, up to 3 previews per clip and 20 a day), and a new account gets 1,200 credits once, while the day's free credits last. We may change or end these extras.
Refunds and the right of withdrawal
To ask for a refund, write to us; Link can also refund a purchase under its buyer terms. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you ask us to supply the credits as soon as you buy them, and you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal once they are in your balance. None of this limits the rights consumers have by law.
6. Your videos
They stay yours. You keep all rights in the videos you upload and in the clean videos we make from them.
What you allow us to do. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process and change your videos to provide DroneClean, and to use your uploaded videos, the marks you place and the results to develop, train, test and improve our models and services, as the Privacy Policy explains. You can opt out of the second use at any time by writing to support@droneclean.app. We do not publish your videos or use them in marketing without your separate permission.
What you promise. You have the right to upload each video and to let us use it this way. That includes the rights of the people who appear in it and the owners of the music in it. You filmed it lawfully, including the rules for flying drones and for filming people.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use DroneClean to:
- upload illegal content, or content that harms or sexualises minors;
- violate someone's privacy, image rights or intellectual property;
- mislead people with footage presented as an unaltered record where that matters, such as evidence or journalism;
- attack, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service, get around its limits or payments, or resell access to it;
- use automated tools to send it work at a scale ordinary use would not.
We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules.
8. Our rights
DroneClean's software, models, design and brand belong to us or to those who license them to us. These terms give you the right to use DroneClean, not to copy or exploit any of it. We claim no ownership of your clean videos.
9. Availability
We work to keep DroneClean running and fast, but it may sometimes be slow or unavailable, for maintenance or problems beyond our control. Clips waiting in line when that happens are processed when it is back, or their credits come back.
10. Liability
DroneClean is provided as it is, as far as the law allows: we do not promise that every shadow comes out perfectly or that the service suits a particular purpose.
We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits, lost data or lost opportunities, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them, including for death or injury caused by negligence, for fraud, and for the rights consumers have by law.
11. Ending the agreement
You can stop using DroneClean and delete your account at any time, from your profile. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, after warning you when we reasonably can. Credits left in a deleted or closed account are lost, unless the law requires otherwise.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we tell you by email or in the app before it applies; if you keep using DroneClean after that, the new terms apply. If you do not accept them, you can delete your account.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in its courts.
